General Information
Welcome to the Conference Services homepage for Mount Saint Vincent
University!
This site is designed to provide you with information on the services and
facilities that we offer to meeting planners and conference organizers.
Should valuable information not be provided here, please visit our "Contact
Us" section and we would be more than happy to provide you with
additional information.
From May 1st to August every year, the Mount opens its doors to groups
and individuals for overnight accommodations. Our traditional dormitories,
Birch townhouses and Westwood residence is an economical
alternative when staying in Halifax. All room rates include parking, taxes,
linens, full breakfast and day-pass to our athletic facility.
Centrally located on the Bedford Highway in Halifax, the Mount is only
minutes from downtown Halifax and all its attractions. For those of you
without a vehicle, the Mount is also located on major bus routes into the
city.
For additional information on accommodations, meeting spaces and other
services, please use the navigation tool on the left, or simply keep on reading!
Accommodations
Annually, beginning in the first of May, the Mount rents out various
residences to the traveling public; both conference delegates and
individuals.
Our traditional residences feature single beds with shared washrooms in
the following buildings: Assisi Hall and our Birch Townhouses.

Traditional Residence Room |
In Assisi Hall, each guestroom features a single bed, sink, closet, desk and
linens. Every other floor in this 12-storey building has a lounge which
features a small fridge, kettle, microwave, iron and board, and color TV with cable. In
addition, each floor is equipped with a payphone and an intercom system
that will link you to the 24 hour security desk. Each floor accommodates
13-14 people. Assisi Hall also has a laundry room and TV lounge on the
second floor.
Accommodations are also available in our Birch Townhouses (below). Each
townhouse has 20 single bedrooms, a common TV lounge, kitchen area,
laundry and home-style washroom facilities. These facilities are perfect for
groups of twenty that wish to stay by themselves.
Birch Townhouses
In June of 2003, The Mount opened Westwood, an apartment style residence.

Westwood is home to 123 new apartment style units. Most of these units consist of a kitchen, living room, two full baths and four single bedrooms. There are some additional dormitory style rooms available in this building as well; the third floor houses 35 traditional residence accommodations (all singles). Get updates on our Campus Revitalization Plan and the new residence.
