Patricia Lyall - President & Chief Executive Officer
Manages the integration of the marketing and developmental activities of Destination Halifax to effectively and efficiently build the economic potential of tourism in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

Christine Williams - Executive Assistant
Fulfills the role of primary support to the President & CEO and facilitates overall office management including accounting and human resource issues.

Brandy Comeau - Receptionist
Responsible for the professional facilitation of inbound inquiries for clients of Destination Halifax. Provides administrative support to the Customer Services Team.

Tracy Rodgers - Membership Manager
Responsible for the recruitment, retention, servicing and programming of/for the Destination Halifax membership.
 

Marketing Division

Lynn Ledwidge - Director of Marketing
Manages the Marketing Division. Provides strategic tourism market planning assistance to the communities of HRM. Spearheads the leisure marketing campaign. Responsible for new market entry and niche market development, including cruise. Represents the destination at many trades shows and client events.

Emily Kimber - Communications Manager
Point of contact for travel media opportunities - media support, press kits, media tours, editorial, story ideas, travel media trade shows. Manages the overall communications plan and image inventory. Prepares press releases, and serves as local media contact.

Ryan Joudrey - Marketing Coordinator
Provides administrative support to the Marketing Division. Maintains sales reports and client databases. Assists in co-ordination of trade shows, familiarization tours, sales trips and partner projects.

Sales Division

Hélène Moberg - Executive Director, Sales
This position is responsible for managing and directing the Destination Halifax sales efforts in support of positioning the HRM and Nova Scotia as a destination of choice for business and leisure travel. The responsibilities of the position focus on staff management, direct sales and promotions. Account specialist for the Canadian Third Party Planner and Corporate Meeting markets.

Brenda Peet - Programs Manager
Responsible for the successful management and implementation of the sales and marketing programs, for the organization, as identified by the annual business plan. These programs are weighted towards the Meetings & Conventions sector and incorporate such activity as tradeshows, promotions, strategic partner agreements and customer data base programming activities.

Jennifer Hitchcock - Group Services Coordinator
Serves as the primary point of contact for servicing of external clients and delegate attendance building.  The Group Services Coordinator establishes and maintains liaison with convention organizers, tour operators, DH members/partners and strategic alliances deemed critical to the successful attainment of the organization’s goals.  Coordination of tour & travel site inspections and familiarization trips.

Catherine Porter - Director of Group Sales, Canada
Implements the plan directed towards accounts in the Canadian corporate, government and association segments. Focus includes management of existing accounts, new business development and lead generation.

Jonathan Toms - Group Sales Manager, US
Implements the plan directed towards accounts in the tour and travel and US convention segments. Focus includes management of existing accounts, new business development and lead generation.

Jeff Turner - New Business Development Manager
Manages business development and lead generation initiatives for increased confirmed group bookings through the sourcing of previously untapped opportunities. Activity focuses on meetings, conventions and management of the Ambassador Program.

Brigid McWhirter - Administrative Assistant, Sales
Fulfills the role of primary support to the Sales Division.  Responsible for the coordination of daily operations and the core business processes of the Sales Division.  Assists with coordination of trade shows, partner promotions and programs.

Julie MacLeod - Sales Coordinator
Supports the Sales Team to reach production goals through preparation of booking notices, member notification, follow up and summarization of bid submissions.  Coordination of meeting & convention site inspections and familiarization trips.

The Hyland Group
With offices in Washington, DC and Chicago, IL this team serves as the US sales representative for Destination Halifax relative to meetings and conventions activity.
